Mid-Year Recap: What We've Been Up To in 2026
We're officially past the halfway point of 2026, and we wanted to take a moment to do something we don't do nearly enough. We want to take a moment to slow down, look back at what's been built, and share it with the community that makes The Hive what it is.
When you run a creative studio, the work is always moving forward. There's always the next shoot, the next recording session, the next workshop, the next member settling into the space for the first time. In that forward momentum, it's easy to forget to celebrate the milestones along the way.
So consider this our celebration. Here's a look at what's been happening at The Hive Studios in 2026 and what's coming next.
Community Member Growth
One of the things we're most proud of at The Hive is the community that's formed here. This isn't just a space where people rent time and leave; it's a place where Phoenix photographers, videographers, podcasters, and creative entrepreneurs cross paths, share ideas, and build things together. And that community got bigger this year!
We've welcomed several new members to The Hive Studios family in the first half of 2026, and each one has brought their own energy, their own craft, and their own story to the space. Watching new members find their footing, figuring out how the light falls at different times of day, settling into a recording rhythm in the podcast studio, and starting to recognize each other at different events and workshops is honestly one of the best parts of what we do here.
If you've been thinking about joining The Hive as a monthly member, let this be your sign. Membership gives you consistent, priority access to our photography, video, and podcast facilities, without the friction of booking day by day. It's designed for Phoenix content creators who are serious about their work and want a professional home base to do it from.

The Hive x CreativeLive Partnership
This one is big, and we've been looking forward to sharing more about it. The Hive Studios is now a production home for CreativeLive, one of the most respected names in online creative education. CreativeLive is an online learning platform providing creative professionals with inspiring live classes and on-demand video courses taught by world-class instructors, with a catalog of over 2,300 classes focused on photography, filmmaking, design, and business.
CreativeLive made a highly anticipated return in early 2026 after being acquired by CourseHorse, relaunching not just as a technical platform but as a community reconnection, something we’re all about at The Hive Studios. They’re bringing back the live-streamed, real-time learning experience that originally made it one of the most recognizable names in the world of creative education. To be part of that return and to have The Hive Studios serve as a production space for their programming is something we're genuinely honored to participate in.
What this partnership means in practice is we’re able to partake in world-class creative education that is being filmed right here in our studio. The instructors, the productions, the content- it's all happening in the same space where our members shoot, record, and create every day. There's something meaningful about that. The Hive was always built around the idea that great creative work flourishes when the right environment, the right community, and the right support are all in the same place. The CreativeLive partnership is a reflection of that and a signal of where The Hive is headed.
Podcast Studio Upgrade
We've always believed the podcast studio is one of The Hive's most valuable spaces, and in the first half of 2026, we made it better. We've completed a full lighting upgrade in the podcast studio, with professionally installed lighting that transforms the space for video-first podcast production. And if you've been paying attention to where podcasting is headed, you know why that matters.
In 2026, podcasting isn't just about audio anymore because the format has shifted dramatically toward video. This means videos optimized for YouTube, clipped for Instagram Reels and TikTok, and repurposed across platforms in ways that make the visual environment just as important as the sound quality. There's an upward trend in audiences consuming more short-form visual storytelling than ever before (which is likely not a surprise for you), and now there’s an expectation that now expect creators to deliver platform ready packages that include vertical photos, carousel sets, and short-form video content.
The new lighting setup means that every conversation recorded in The Hive's podcast studio is now camera-ready and it now has the kind of intentional, controlled lighting that makes all the difference in the visuals.
Whether you're a business owner building a thought leadership podcast, a creator launching a new show, or a brand looking to produce video content in a professional environment, the upgraded studio is ready for you.

Here’s to a successful 2026
Looking back at the first half of 2026, what strikes us most isn't any single milestone; it's the thread that connects them: all of you! New members joining means the community is healthy and growing. The CreativeLive partnership means the work happening inside The Hive is being recognized at a national level. The podcast studio upgrade means we're investing in the infrastructure our members need to do their best work. All of it points toward the same thing. A creative space that's becoming more valuable, more connected, and more capable with every passing month.
We're grateful for every member, every partner, and every person who's walked through the doors of The Hive Studios this year. You're the reason this community exists, and you're the reason we keep building it.
Here's to an even stronger second half of 2026!
